OSEAN organizes a big pumpkin collection drive in Ottawa South (River, Alta Vista and Gloucester-Southgate Wards) each year to divert pumpkins from the landfill and organic waste facilities. Click here to see the map of OSEAN-organized drop-off sites. If you live outside of Ottawa South and would like to divert your pumpkins, there are numerous other locations around the city that accept pumpkins. One may be near you!

For businesses, please check with them before dropping off a large number of pumpkins. We ask that you remove inedible objects (candles, wire, pipe-cleaners, etc) before drop off. Please do not donate pumpkins that are moldy.
